Siren spoof with Micro-controller?
Hi, I'm in the first week of Volvo ownership and discovering just how complicated they are.My alarm appears to do nothing but blink a LED so I've been reading all the posts I could find about the siren and its' inevitable demise.
I was wondering if anyone had ever built a replacement using a micro-controller to give the security module the reply it wants to see?Does anyone know the question and the required answer? |

have you sat in the car with it locked? any volvo i've had only has motion sensors on the inside that go off with the slightest of movement

Did another test while it was quiet.Sat in car set alarm then bounced about, heard a sound like a very small mouse inside a box some distance away.Looks like the siren is on it's last legs, will have to get a pop rivet gun.
Did find more on the theory of operation though. http://www.kvaser.com/zh/about-can/r...ndards/46.html |
