Default 240 alloys do not fit 440/460

240 models have 5 studs whereas the 440/460 models to my believe have 4 holes!? Look for a nice pair of GLT 15" (5-spokes) wheels. They suit in my opinion best to the 240 and you save yourselves a lot on tyre costs since the 195/65/15 are more common than the 185/70/14.

Hi Simon.

Welcome to the forum - I have just fitted alloys to my saloon - the whole look of the car is much improved and you dont need to worry about increasingly difficult to obtain wheel trims.

Try searching the forum as there are quite a few posts relating to fitting 15" alloys to 240's and the size of tyres to fit. I have fitted 14" alloys as I like the look of them and I had a brand new set of tyres that would fit - however, 15" wheels with wider tyres really improve handling I believe.

Regards
Ian

As a matter of interest these are the same as the ones I have just fitted.

Yes they will. Anything from the 940 range will fit nicely. It is just the post 95 960 wheels you need to watch out for as they have a different ofset.

Best of luck. steve
