t4 oil pan
Hey Guys,
Went over a krub the other day and cracked the oil pan, need to find a replacement, wondering if there's a different between 1st generation models. I have a 2000 s40 t4 phase 2, I'm guessing all turbo models are the same? If you have replaced one before is it a fairly easy job? any things to look out for? Cheers |

Not replaced myself, but seen it done, took about 20 mins, you will need the volvo sealant stuff, as theres no gasket, and so all surfaces need to be perfectly clean, and tightening the bolts in order
All petrol sumps (exc the GDI, and the very very early models (some 96MY) cars, all have the same sump,so any petrol 1997-2004, manual or auto, Turbo or gutless will do you (may take you a bit longer than 20 mins, as mine was done by probably the best and quickest volvo Mechanic in country), but its a 0-1 spanner job on the HBOL scale), only thing to check is that loosing your oil hasn't damaged engine, or was it a thud, stop, and see oil pouring out of car?
