Probably purchase S80 2.5T
Good evening, I'm new to the forum and would be grateful for any advice. I'm looking to buy a 2003 S80 2.5T auto with 110,000 on the clock. Is there any thing I should look out for? Looking at engine reviews, it appears the 2.5T is a good reliable engine. Any help and advice would be great.
If there are scary bits I should know, please shout loud. Nic |

In 2003 I bought a new V70 2.5T SE (same engine, 210bhp) with the Geartronic box. Lovely engine! Always first away at the redlight, even with a careful foot (this was due to the low-pressure turbo). Reasonable good on fuel too, from memory I got approx 36mpg out of mine (and the S80 does better mpg than the V70 btw).
Never had a problem! Saying that, I can not answer on how these engines become with higher mileage on them (sold mine with 26K).
