Urgent, airbag service due?
Hi all, first post... I have a V70, 2002 2.4 petrol(140hp), Manual.
I'm sure i'm not the first with this issue, nor the last but here goes.... ''Urgent, airbag sevice due'', Is this a dealer only reset, given that mine is over Ten years old? Is there possibly another reason, i.e. Body control unit moisture issue? Any advice greatly appreciated so thankyou in advance. |

You need to post in the later phase 2 section. Cars older than '00 don't have this reminder.

Its usually the solder on the DIM unit circuit board or sometimes crushed seatbelt wiring.
Seems to be mainly on the 2001/2/3 models, quality control issue of the system when it was first rolled out. You can DIY it if your handy or there are replace with reconditioned unit or repair services available. You will find the details in the model specific section, as Blackbeast says.

keep your head well out the way of airbag when fiddling
disconnect battery and leave everything to discharge for ages first, preferably overnight. |
