  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Default creeking noise

Hi
i have a 2004 2.4 deisel xc90,it creeks when i go over pot holes/bumps etc
i had changed both stableiser end link bars but it still creeks,all bushs n ball joints have been checks and are fine, this makes it not enjoyable to drive,
is this a common problem and what is it? can anyone help??

I too have a similar problem with my 2004 XC90. H ave booked it in for its MOT next Wednesday and have asked them to have a look whilst its there. Mine also makes the creek / clunk noise at full lock sometimes, but not always.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Dealer replaced the front strut top mount a couple of months ago and it's all silent now. But it cost about £340.

MOT done yesterday (passed with no problems!)

I asked them to have a quick look to see if could identify what was causing the noise. They couldn't find anything wrong and suggested the strut mounts as Arianne mentioned above
