Default S40 oil pressure warning light flashing

Oil pressure warning light flashes intermittently even when the car is standing still (eliminates loose connection). Changed the oil pressure switch and cleaned the wiring connector but same problem. Dealer diagnostics advised the ECU is the problem which is very expensive. Is there another sensor feed which would cause the light to come on?

I assumed the dealer would have checked that as part of diagnostics - maybe I should call the dealer back and ask exactly what he tested before he decided on the ECU.
