Kenny, There appears to be 3 people near(ish) you who have VIDA Dice or similar that can read your fault codes. This was posted on this Forum a while ago https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=280351 worth a ring round to see if they can help otherwise it is the main stealer.

Highlight the name on the Zeemap and put it into the "Search Member" function in "Members List" under the heading "Community" and you'll be able to PM them to see if they can help.

Seconding Kenny37's comment. This happened to my D5 when the oil level was bang on 2/3rds full on the dipstick. I reduced it to 1/2 and, after 300 miles, it reset itself.

Cheers,

Thanks guys, oil was a tiny bit high. Taken it down to half way but message still there so far.

I will see if it changes level at all and if the massage goes away.

As I say, took 300 miles for mine to clear. In terms of time, just enough for me to order my own Dice/Vida off of ebay. The fault code cleared itself the day the Dice arrived.

As a result, I've installed Vida but never actually hooked it up to the car in anger.

Cheers,

Will see if it goes, might give you a shout for a shot at your Vida if it doesn't go off.

Once you are, err umm, an expert on the VIDA Dice you might wish to put yourself on the "Map" https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=280351 so you can help other Volvo enthusiasts who might need some help, of course only if you have time to spare - no pressure as there are a few around your area.

Grant,
Absolutely. I was actually thinking of asking if a local 'expert' might help me get mine hooked up the car for the first time and pass on any tips.

After that I'd happily stick my name on the list. Just don't want to have to have someone else's car be my guinea pig.

Cheers,

I have Vida/dice and am located in west Edinburgh.

I can give it a read for you if it doesn't go away itself.
