  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

I can't see how the OP could have gone from Feb when the car was bought, through the summer to November and only now be realising the air con wasn't working! Certainly too late to claim it was like it on delivery.

I would be asking for proof that the issue was stone damage on the condenser. May even be worth a trip to Kwik Fit to get this confirmed. I would then phone a few other dealers and ask for a quote. If you can get closer to £600 you may wish to stay with the dealer network.

Otherwise, it's leg work to find an Indi and possibly a used condenser and save even more.

No point in going through insurance (although you could) as the increase in future premiums would make this unviable.

I had http://www.coolcaraircon.co.uk/ come and replace the A/C condenser at my place for £250 inc. re-gas. Very happy with the work so far, 2 years warranty (stone damage excluded).

BTW, I don't think your dealer cannot know if the condenser has been pierced by a stone w/o actually removing it first.
