Default s40 1.6D 06 DMF convert to single mass

Hi guys just about to change my clutch on my s40 1.6d 2006. wanted to change from dmf to single mass. just wanted to know which flywheel matches? from what car/engine etc.

The Smf flywheel conversion is a common one for most of the ford/volvo/peugeot engines that share the 1.6 engine

The dual mass flywheels are coming down in price now so it's always worth looking at the price difference on the kits for the vag engines it's now 280 inc for a clutch and dual mass so I would phone around

Wherever possible stay with the dual mass as it makes for smoother everything although I've fitted lots of single mass conversions I keep on hearing horror stories about snapped crankshafts on smf equipped cars

Gsf tend to be a bit cheaper than euros on clutches btw

Personally I would advise against it for the above reason about damage to shafts and more than likely subsequent engine damage that is before the NVH issues.
