Default webber carb conversion

i friend of mine has a b230a with a buggered 175cd carb on it. he is looking for a b230k manifold and idealy one that has already had webber conversion.

i know it is a bit of a long shot but dose any one have a manifold kicking around that they would sell?

Easy to do... All that needs to be done is to slightly widen the holes off the carb then sits straight on. There is literally MM in it.

that is the manifold that i am looking for, nailing the carb on to it is not the problem, just sourcing the it.

Just a thought. If you do go down this route, stick a spirit level across the face before fitting the carb. I have seen a conversion that never ran right because the carb was tilted at an angle. Plays havoc with the float level of course. It needed a wedge plate making up to compensate.
But first, find your manifold....

Good advice that. personally I think Webers are overated, an SU might be a better way to go. Depends on how the linkages fit up. Dont forget too- those Strombergs were put on there for a reason. Nowt wrong with Strombergs!

Agreed, webers are not the best carb.
If a Stromberg has a good needle and jet, there is not much else to go wrong .SUs seem to wear round the spindles, as do webers.

Whats in a name. eh?
