i friend of mine has a b230a with a buggered 175cd carb on it. he is looking for a b230k manifold and idealy one that has already had webber conversion.
i know it is a bit of a long shot but dose any one have a manifold kicking around that they would sell? many thanks neil |

Easy to do... All that needs to be done is to slightly widen the holes off the carb then sits straight on. There is literally MM in it.

Just a thought. If you do go down this route, stick a spirit level across the face before fitting the carb. I have seen a conversion that never ran right because the carb was tilted at an angle. Plays havoc with the float level of course. It needed a wedge plate making up to compensate.
But first, find your manifold.... |

Good advice that. personally I think Webers are overated, an SU might be a better way to go. Depends on how the linkages fit up. Dont forget too- those Strombergs were put on there for a reason. Nowt wrong with Strombergs!

If a Stromberg has a good needle and jet, there is not much else to go wrong .SUs seem to wear round the spindles, as do webers. Whats in a name. eh? |
