Default Foglight switch

Just out of interest, and before I start to take it apart, does anyone know if the rear foglights switch, the one on the same little panel as the headlamps knob, should be illuminated when the foglamps are switched 'ON' and if so, what bulb does it take?

Alec,
Yes the switch should be illuminated when rear fog lights on. As mine has never failed I'm not syre what bulb is fitted, but suspect it will be a 1.2w like most of the panel lights.
Before dismantling check that the earth lead from the back of the switch is OK; this lead is only required for this bulb to work as rear fogs will work without it.

Yes the switch should be illuminated when fog lights are on - remember on some ages the fog light only works on dipped beam.
