Fitting Double Din
I'm sure this question has been asked before but, has anyone had anyone problems fitting an after market double din stereo?
When I have taken the original out, it seems to slide in on plastic rails? This prevents the new double din radio from being fitted. Is there anyway around this aside from sanding/filing the rails away? Thanks for your help.

hi had the same prob, you have to sand the rails off, i used a dremmel, took a while, then you need to screw the new cage into the gap, bit fiddley ,and you need a adapter for the wiring but its worth it, i put a alpine in mine, ,halford do the wiring kit, they prop ave to order it, oh by the way if you use a dremmel then make sure you have a hoover handy while you do it as it get a bit messy, but its a easy job, this is the one i fitted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpine-CDE...item5661ab9391 hope it helps,

I cut mine off with a junior hacksaw when I fitted a new unit a couple of months ago. I've kept the cut offs in case I ever have to stick them back on ...
