240 Estate Wanted
Still looking for a reasonable 240 Estate, not fussed on spec. but must be manual, and have some MOT/tax, and not a shed !
Would prefer something up here in Scotland, as do not have a lot of time/cash to spend on travel. Anyone know of anything out there ? Cheers, Kevin. |

Hi Kevin,
I've got a really nice 240 estate for sale, it's got about 9 months MOT, leather interior, tow bar, etc... If you'd like some photos of it, pm me your email address and i'll take some and send them to you. |

I know this post is from February but if you're still looking for a 240 estate I'm thinking about selling mine in favour of something automatic.
It's a 92 on a J 240SE with 166k on the clock, MOT'd & taxed till July in what I'd call 'quite decent' condition, it's not perfect but it polishes up well and it's been a perfectly good daily driver for me. Mechanically good, had a big service last year including cambelt, water pump, engine, gearbox & axle oil, coolant, ignition parts etc, also brakes. The heater blower and rear axle bushes have been done and there have been no corrosion advisories on the VOSA MOT history as far back as I can trace it. (2006) It has a couple of wee rust spots on the rear valance and the inside of one of the rear doors, and some (but not all) of the usual 240 'crap electrics/broken plastic' issues. The rear wiper, fuel gauge, & trip odo don't work, there's a headlight adjuster clip broken, missing rear hockey stick & no door pockets but there's nothing major wrong with it that a bit of tlc wouldn't fix in a couple of weekends. Ball park price around a grand or so if you're interested? The car is in Glasgow. Pics HERE |
