Man that guy must have had some serious safety equipment on board. I’m sure he didn’t give a t**s whether the track was open to-day or not, just glad to still be here I guess.

Its not as easy as "the show must go on", in the event of an accident there are procedures they have to follow, one of which is closing the track & making access for any emergency vehicles that may need to get to the scene (even the Fire Force crew weren't allowed onto the strip). If there is any chance the accident could be fatal the event is cancelled so the track & any equipment which may have contributed to the accident is sealed off for the police to investigate.
