Been very quiet as my car is still in the garage!!
Apparently, the slave cyclinder had pretty much destroyed itself. Slave cylinder only costs about £90 but its inside the bell housing. No real option but to fit a new clutch (and of course the dual-mass flywheel) and a hefty bill!! For anyone who needs to know, you're looking at around £1200 for the clutch, slave and labour and an additional £500 if the flywheel is deemed to have too much play/wear which of course, it always will have!! I had it replaced as the car has done over 120,000 miles and I tow a caravan. Might as well start with fresh everything!! While it was in, I had a few other things addressed....and they're still being addressed. Time for another thread I think... |
