Brake fluid dripping out the bottom of the bellhousing is definitive. Some owners have reported iffy clutch pedal behaviour and difficult gear selection for a time prior to complete failure others report it coming out of the blue with no warning.

Thanks, looking at that poll thought more have not failed than failed?
Guess it's often case of people posting up when things fail, but people don't join and post to say it's all fine! I'm used to RWD, so I'll have a good look over the bell housing. Thanks |

Got it in one. If the forum was representative of most drivers experience everyone would stay in bed. Other online communities have the same tales of woe or worse in many cases. Touch wood, I haven't yet had any of the baddies visited on others which is more likely the norm than the exception.
