Need to buy a code reader that works on Volvos.
I have a D900 code reader.
"http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/D900-Any-car-OBD2-EOBD-CAN-Fault-Code-Reader-Scanner-diagnostic-scan-tool-UK-/111293608217?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash =item19e99db119" It does not read any DTC's when an orange MIL "Anti Skid Service required" is displayed. Can anybody recommend a code reader that does read volvo fault codes please.

I have recently bought an Autel 702 that reads codes on my 04 S80 - interpreting them is another matter though although i am sure a little perseverence and web searching from me would help.
what it does do without fail is clear stored codes , more than paid for itself already having finally tracked down an intermittent fault. I think the one you have is deficient in a number of areas such as ability ro read SRS, anti skid and other systems?? If you can find someone local with Vida/Dice that might be your best bet in the first instance. Last edited by andybird; Jul 12th, 2014 at 22:59. |

Great for my S60 and will work nicely on your XC but don't expect much for your V40.

Have a look at this 171384837876 on ebay. it might seem a bit dear but i paid £160 for mine 5 years ago and i am glad i bought it.It saves going to the dealer which is circa £60 a trip.

Yes, same as mine and it has been faultless. I was very very lucky and got mine on here a few years ago when the prices were still relatively sensible. Worth it's weight in gold and has saved me a fortune.
