Question Need to buy a code reader that works on Volvos.

I have a D900 code reader.

"http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/D900-Any-car-OBD2-EOBD-CAN-Fault-Code-Reader-Scanner-diagnostic-scan-tool-UK-/111293608217?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash =item19e99db119"

It does not read any DTC's when an orange MIL "Anti Skid Service required" is displayed.

Can anybody recommend a code reader that does read volvo fault codes please.

I have recently bought an Autel 702 that reads codes on my 04 S80 - interpreting them is another matter though although i am sure a little perseverence and web searching from me would help.

what it does do without fail is clear stored codes , more than paid for itself already having finally tracked down an intermittent fault.

I think the one you have is deficient in a number of areas such as ability ro read SRS, anti skid and other systems??

If you can find someone local with Vida/Dice that might be your best bet in the first instance.

I have an Autel MD801 which is the EU702 + jap, French and U.S. capability.
Great for my S60 and will work nicely on your XC but don't expect much for your V40.

Yes, same as mine and it has been faultless. I was very very lucky and got mine on here a few years ago when the prices were still relatively sensible.

Worth it's weight in gold and has saved me a fortune.
