the meaning of B.K.V is Best Kept Volvo so B.K.V for short

hope this helps and yes they need a clear way of saying when an event comes up so who would go is in the know then with full info but most that have the driver will flick through the events section etc ....

Note: This sticky was for the National Rally and BKV (Best Kept Volvo) last month. Details of the Northern Rally are elsewhere as you have found.
These rallies are arranged for VOC members and pre the internet forum, details were mostly only available via the Driver, the club magazine.
The VOC is happy to have non members attend these meetings on the basis that it might encourage them to join the club in order to enjoy them fully, as well as getting other benefits. The cost of running this forum and the expenses incurred arranging, setting up etc, these meetings, is met by the members subscriptions, so forgive us for being optimistic that at least some of the non paying members here will join, and lessen the burden a little.

Over 117,000 people have registered on the forum. If we guess that just 10% of them are still at least visitors, that will still be about 3 times the number who are paid up VOC members..................

I'm still confused, let me explain ;
This is a Volvo forum, this is the events subforum.
There is an event coming up which includes (for example) BKV.
This is a thread titled BKV in the events subforum of this Volvo forum yet did not contain any details of the BKV event/events.

As you can see above, the thread was started by a VOC member who just put out a call to see who was going. It wasn't, and wasn't intended to be, a promotional announcement of details of the coming event.

The link to the calendar isn't hard to find and new forum members are encouraged to explore all of the other links and information. This maybe the biggest Volvo forum on the internet but it's not perfect and can sometimes not cater for an individuals needs. Suggestions for improvements are welcomed and can sometimes be incorporated, but IMO, change for changes sake just confuses the members.
