Default '11 V50 Fuel Pressure Low, Rough Running and Limp Mode

My mothers 2011 Volvo V50 1.6 Turbo Diesel stranded her tonight and I'd like to try and find out why before (another) potentially massive bill comes in - A recovery driver came out under Volvo Assistance and read the computer for codes and discovered that the car had low fuel pressure. He said that the fuel pressure was around 98 at idle and dropped as the revs increased instead of rising. The issue caused the information light to come on and the ECU put the car into limp mode ("reduced engine power"). I don't know what the code the computer spat out was.

What is the fault and do we know if there are any recalls or extended warranty on this fault?

I'm pretty sure that the fuel filter was changed not that long ago (read: in the last six months) so if it's that someone has some explaining to do!
