Even weirder. M400 is a 164 box without o/d.
Quick way to tell: If you can see the heads of the bolts holding the box to the bellhousing then it's an M41. Big Allen head jobs, on a 164/1800E box they're inside and you can't take the box off without the bellhousing.

I am always on the look out for a wider version for the rear, and I had to recover the the driver's front because it was worn on the bolster, and bought a passenger covering from one of the Alfista dealers out there. Remember, the bolster on the inside of the passenger seat never gets worn, and is normally a direct swap for the outer bolster on the driver's seat which as we know always gets worn. You may need to buy a whole seat however but it might be worth it.

Searched quite a lot for the right seat, not necessarily colour. Mazdas are about right colourwise, but don't have the wow factor of the Alfas IMO. Later on maybe I'll go for a heated electric set but is it worth it for the limited time the car will be used - probably not.

How about a rear seat from a later Alfa such as a 147? There often seems to be full interiors on ebay for these and similar models of Alfa that will have a wider rear bench than the GTV. However most that I have seen tend to be red rather than tan. Although, another way would be to use the GTV rear seats, and source another set of seats in the right colour, and then use the coverings for material to upholster over the rear arches?

Not convinced that heated seats are needed in an Amazon though, due to the volcanic heater!!
