Default Engine service light

Hello all

having a really bad motoring week, first off someone hit my car leaving a huge dent around a 1 long. I suspect the bin men but didn't witness it.... argh

then next day driving to work engine service light goes on and into limp mode.

Ive only moved to London one week and all this happens. Took it to independent garage close to work a friend uses they ran diagnostics. Said error code to do with accelerator signal so they replaced this. Thought it was fixed then set them off again and im back to square one but £220 lighter.

Im from N.I. and just can't afford it all, I've no clue what to do other than take it to Volvo west london but i live in south east. And of course i can't get it there as i work mon-fri at a school other side of city.

Its a volvo c30 2010 1.6 drive. any advice or a place more local that could fix the communication error without costing a bomb?

thanks

The first thing I would do is complain to the garage who did the work.
You've had a specific problem and their diagnosis and fix is obviously wrong so you need to pursue that before spending any more.

True but they wanted to bring in more people and would have cost so much more and I've no confidence in them, I'm from N.I. so at a loss as no nowhere

Was going to try involve? if anyone has used them in London.

My two codes are (after a new accelerator for put in):

7700 engine control unit communication fault

9530 accelerator pedal- faulty signal

Any specialists near SE16 that could sort this and not at a bomb. I don't want to take it to Volvo as closest one is west london which i can't even get to as i work and i heard its bad

I replied to your thread about Involve. Take it to them, they're ok and in my experience won't rip you off.
