so that means that it will have a fuse for just in case and it won't drain the battery, sounds good, I'll try that when (if) I can get my hands on one..

yes and yes ... The volt meter takes such little current it would never drain the battery , but of course you don't need it on all the time .

Be aware that if you say connect it to a 10 A fuse the wiring to the voltmeter could burn out if the voltmeter shorted out unless the wire could stand 10A so the fuse blew first.
You only need a thin wire to the voltmeter so try to find a 1A fused circuit or fit a 1A fuse as close to the point you take the live feed from as you can. |
