Water inside doors
Hello,
I noticed a water leak inside my doors on 850 while replacing the mirror, so I started to look for the leak, and the villain is not the mirror, but the window scraper between door and glass from the outside. I then inspected all other windows, and it seems that these seals on ALL doors are busted :/ So I gotta get some new, or maybe grab some from V70, which I noticed should fit. But.. ...how do I remove those scrapers? I also wanted to look inside the rear passanger doors to check for leaks, but I cannot undo the window handle in order to remove the door trim. I can remove the plastic cover, but Haynes says I need to insert something with 6mm diameter inside the hole to release the handle, I tried but nothing worked. How do I please remove the handle? Thank You for help

Car doors are supposed to get wet inside. If the water isn't getting near the door cards, or into the car itself then everything is fine. Some makes and models are notorious for water ingress, but the Volvo 850 isn't one of them.
Just make sure that the drain holes in the bottom seams of the doors are clear by prodding through with a small screwdriver. Cheers Jack |

Well it is true that the water does not go into the car, but the seal is clearly vague close to the mirror on both driver and passenger side, where the water goes into the door, I marked it on the image below.
I tried to pour some water from bottle to see how serious it is and it was like waterfall, I don't think it's normal. Will try to make a video about it...
