Rear View mirror detached from console...
Basically the rear view mirror has come away from the ball joint and appears to have dislodged something inside the plastic housing because the balljoint is now floppy.....
I've taken apart all of the plastic trim and now i'm struggling to see what's gone wrong and why it won't go back together... Any ideas? I really don't want to take it to Volvo to fix, because i know they'll end up trying to charge me 100+ just to put plastic back together... |

I took mine apart at the ball (see my other thread). The ball is held in place in the back of the mirror by a circlip which comes out surprisingly easily. Perhaps your circlip has broken or been pulled out when the mirror was last adjusted? It is about 20mm dia.
