Its definitely Gareth's old car. The dealer has being trying to sell it here in Ireland also for double the price he paid for it with out doing the work that the car needed. I have no problems with someone making a profit on a car but at least earn it by fixing issues the car has. When Gareth sold the car he was totally honest and upfront about any issues but this dealer in my opinion is looking for a quick profit.

what is he asking or hoping to get for it?
I thought I remembered seeing it on the forum and some trying to persuade him to keep it. It looks great, what is wrong with it apart from the non standard seats and the non standard overdrive switch? Jamie |

The seller is hoping to get 9,995 Euro. It is a great looking car and a credit to Gareth, I was interested in it myself. Gareth brought the car up to my workshop as the rear arch needed work and the front wings around the headlight were starting to go. I seen the car a few weeks later for sale with other cars at a classic car show and immediately recognized it. The weather was very poor and wet so I did not get a proper look at the body work but I ran my fingers under the rear arch in question and could feel a lot of butter if You know what I mean, the out side may have been touched up. For me certain jobs have to be done properly or not at all. This is just my opinion and others may have a different view.

hello folks,
thought i'd drop in and see what was going on, to find this thread.. so, anyone know what the car sold for at the auction? i do miss the old girl sometimes especially when i see another classic on the road and i can't wave in mutual recognition.. i bought a Mercedes CLK with the proceeds and it is nice. fast, economical and still a 2 door. doesn't turn heads tho. happy motoring and i hope you are all well. Gareth PS. looks like he's taken the tow hook off the back, so he may be looking to sell it separately... Last edited by redcar; Jul 29th, 2015 at 14:04. |

Thanks for the update Jamie. That is a strong price, the Amazons must really be shooting up in value.
