2009 c30 'anti skid service' 'reduced engine performance'
Hi,
I've had my c30 for just about a year now with no issues until about 1 month ago. Had car booked in for full service at Volvo specialists but they advised me upon seeing the car to leave the service for now as CAM belt needed changing as car had surpassed the recommended 87.5k (now at 94k). I took garages advice and had cam belt done, 2 front tyres fitted and 4 wheel tracking completed. After about 1 week - 10 days the car started cutting out mid journey at various speeds displaying error message 'anti skid service required' and 'DSTC spin control off'. I had the AA called out a few times after breaking down on dual carriageways twice and had the car into same volvo specialist twice, first time they changed the fuel filter which left the car running fine... For 3 days, until it cut out again. The second time I've had the fuel rail sensor changed. There was still something that hasn't felt right with the car, lack of pressure and didn't seem to have the same ummfff when putting my foot down as it always had. Since changing the sensor just over 2 weeks ago I've driven around 1000 miles, mostly commuting 30 mile journeys but a couple of 200 mile journeys in there too with the only issue being that the 'anti skid service required' messaged appeared half way through the long journeys. But we now have another error showing 'reduced engine performance'. It come on when driving down a dual carriageway in cruise control at around 83mph. It kicked my cruise off and reduced my speed to around 60 and won't let me go any higher. The error message remains when re-starting the engine and there is resistance from the engine intermittently at various speeds. From reading these forums there seems to be a few people with same issues but never any real answers, pleaseee can someone shed any light? |
