Done a very loud Uturn at a crossroads and the front of the car hardly moved leaving some impressive tyre marks on the road

Holy thread resurrection Batman!
very proud of myself today Broke my aerial in the car wash, Der so thought i would get a mask of ebay, got this and the instructions tell me to undo the nut above the wing? this is what i have size 1.jpg no nut to undo :-O so took out the inner panel, removed aerial, took out old aerial, and while my daughter switched the radio off i feed the new one in, Cricky it worked! so the one you see in the pic is the new one, well chuffed then no speakers working in drivers door so worked out how to remove door panel, (im a bit useless at these things, always goes wrong and have to pay for it to be done) found the plugs not connected! all working fine now, time for beer! |

I've not done anything to the volvo today, apart from drive it. I have washed, polished & waxed my girlfriends Astra, getting it ready for a car show/cruise tomorrow night. I'll be carrying on with it tomorrow.

Today I bought new spark plugs for the Volvo and finally removed the stupid half shaft I've been fighting with, then wrote a brief write up for how to do it since there are no online guides for this job.
I also sent off for some leather dye matching the shade of the new driver's seat cover. I'm using this to redye the passenger and rear seats, and I also bought a steering wheel redye kit and scratch filler to take care of a couple of marks on the passenger seat. One step closer to finishing the restoration... |

Already having rear sensors as standard - today I had genuine Volvo front parking sensors fitted - scary price even with a VOC discount!
At least I knew that a cheapo diy fitted front set wouldn't work because, knowing what the potential cost of Volvo sensors would be, I had already tried fitting a set off ebay in the same places as the Volvo ones are fitted. However ended up having to disconnect the side ones because they kept on picking up the ground even with angled spacers fitted. Delighted to find that the genuine Volvo front sensors work beautifully!

The engine is finally completely back together. Everything at the front of the car is complete except for clamping the power cable for the amplifiers and making the connection at the battery.

Given xc60 a wash, covered in mud due to tractor, spreading mud all over the road, and a wax ready for the winter.
