clean those tired clocks please read
Clock and instrument cleaning
Ok u look at Ur clocks on a 940 they look dull tarnish generally crap. If u take the instrument display out of the car sit it down and remove the screws <fig1> lift of the cover carefully. Now the clock faces are exposed and u can clean them. What I would use to clean this is a personal choice really but what I found good was as follows. 1. amoral dash board wipes gloss or mat I would u gloss 2. amoral windscreen wipes 3. tissue paper or kitchen towel Fig1 black lines represent screws Now turn the unit over and lift the top of Clean the dial service with the amoral dash wipes then rub try with tissue repeat the cleaning till u have a nice shine on the surface of the dials . Also wiliest the clock is separate clean the Perspex cover in side and out with screen wipes then rub dry with the tissue. To make the dials stand out more the clock surrounds <fig3> in side the cover. Should not be clean with amoral dash wipes but rather left as they are. The white lines represent were u should not clean with the amoral dash Ok now reassemble the unit and wella |

The bulbs were a straight swap for the original fitments?
Source please! I know a few are interested in changing the lighting behind the clocks, etc Cheers!

Hi,
Does this not eliminate the ability for the driver to dim the interior dash lights. LED's cannot be dimmed if I am correct..? Yes, UltraLEDs is an Ok bunch to deal with too.. Des. . .
