Service Issues: - Defect starter?

Hi Everybody.

I'm having big problems getting my car started.

I think it is the starter, but i hope somebody could confirm this for me, before I go out buying a new one.

Sounds like it's not pre-engaging with the flywheel. If you tap the solenoid on the top of the starter motor a few times, it might fix it for you. Sometimes the solenoids stick and need a few taps to persuade them to work.
