hi - so just to confirm....

access the multiplug for one of the mirrors, operate by button then reconnect the multiplug?

I notice when I follow the procedure in the manual that the mirror ive pushed all the way forward does a 'double fold' when the button operated - ie it returns to normal unfolded position, then operates again to folded position???

Could be a dodgy sensor which is not telling the car which position the mirror is in.

Seems I should have gone to Specsavers

There are indeed 2 fuses for the mirrors - no 35 is near side and 36 is offside

But now what?? I've tried a few combos of fuse out mirror folded/unfolded etc and still can't get them in sync

What am I doing wrong?!

What's the procedure for re-syncing it can't be that hard assume I'm sure I'm a bit cleverer than this!!!

Remove one fuse, then push the mirror fold button then re-insert the fuse.
Worked on mine a few years back.

This is going off topic slightly for which I apologise, but my mirror is slightly wobbly only in the folded out posistion ('06 XC70). There is a good 1cm backwards and forwards play with a bit of up and down play. I can see there's a little panel underneath where the temp sensor lives that comes off, but I don't see how to take it off without force.

My question is this - is there some way to tighten that up?

It stays steady when on the go and passed the MOT, but just concerns me a bit!
