I'm wondering how this problem is now? And I'm cogitating about the engine running on 2 or 3 cylinders until it warms up. So are the electronic fully OK and only in difficulty because they are trying to compensate for another actual fault re the engine or re the ignition or fuel supply?
- Check for water/coolant in the oil? Check for exhaust gas in the water/coolant? And, compression test each cylinder?
- Distributor cap, all HT leads and sparking plugs checked? Perhaps by borrowing complete from another car. Maybe check the distributor, I've heard of a problem from a bent distributor shaft on a 144 years ago.
- Injectors &c. checked? I've no idea how to check them, sorry.
Just me cogitating the basics.
