Joseph Martin Master Member Last Online: Yesterday 19:23 Join Date: Sep 2011 Location: Rothesay, Isle of Bute	Spotted: Low mileage mk1 440 breaking in my local yard Just a heads-up folks: As we all know, 400 series cars are getting quite thin on the ground, and some parts are getting harder to come by. My regular yard, about 6 or so miles outside Glasgow City centre has a J-registered 440 XI in for breaking, silver/beige with a grey cloth interior. I enquired about buying the whole car however it has already been issued with a CoD. Looks all complete - even down to a set of original Volvo floor carpets. Only about 63k on the clock, 1.8 B18U engine and 5 speed manual. I salvaged the parcel shelf and parcel shelf supports for my 440 GLT restoration. All parts should be available. Yard is a very reasonable breaker too. Should anyone need any parts, I can put you in touch with the yard.
