I expect the sun is shining down there today :-)
Hey Clan, it was so sunny yesterday, but to day is a bit cloudy cant complain.
The is nothing wrong with the B14, but i am going to do the head gasket and clean up the sump and cam cover and replace water pump. As part of the restore on the car there was a lot of rust over the wheel arches which has been repaired now, but think with the engine out i can get in to the bay and clean it all up.

Sounds a good plan , small as it is the B14 is far from light although i don't know the exact weight maybe 120 kg ? I can barely lift a bare block ..

When i supported mine on chains they were like iron bars, wouldnt even twang a note.

The media nos for the engine wont have the ancilliaries.

Alterator
Pas pump
Exhaust manifiold
Turbo
Aircon
6kg for the oil

Ive deadlifted the box an guess 85kg drained

The car is about 1.5tonnes 2 ton fully laden, 4 adults and luggage.

For a super safe estimate bank on the car being 1tonne and the full engine, box, ancilliaries being under 500kg.
