I want to change the puddle light but cannot see a tab to release the holder, is my mirror a "prise it out" one - I am not exceptionally thick but its just not tab happening for me (is the hole a holding screw?) - cheers |

It's from 2005 onwards XC70. If you find out how to change the puddle light, let me know as one of mine is out.

Sussed it
All the online guides and on this site to angle the mirror glass and pop a screwy in to push the clip - I will rephrase this:
Angle the mirror glass and using a torch look for the slightly oblong hole to pop a screwy in, make it a flat blade and on drivers side rotate clockwise as this has the effect of popping the housing out. I went halfords, bought some LED bulbs and they dont work in it - no idea why but I will find out. |

For future ref
I had to change mine recently. Found this on YouTube helpful -> https://youtu.be/iw7-UVYG-1I
Also bought some of these to replace both bulbs -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1517023705...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT The 6 SMD ones fit fine with no errors.

LED bulbs are polarity-sensitive so if they don't work one way round, try them the other way.
