Default V70 early gen 3 D5 warning messages

I started my hitherto faultless V70 this morning and got 2 waning messages, "Parking brake service required" followed by"Rear parking sensors require service" and once into my journey I noticed that while I could turn the cruise control on I could not set a speed.

What's gong on ? I can feel a big bill coming my way

First step would be get the codes read and go from there.

I had the same warning message to do with parking brake service required and it was all down to a faulty battery which needed replacing (the big black thing under the bonnet)

I do not use my cruise so don't know if it had also affected that and I don't have rear parking sensors, that is what your towbar is for.

Local garage read fault codes which suggested that battery on its way out. New battery fitted but faults still there. Going to Volvo dealer next week
