S40 D5 ...no power or little torque ...

Hello Volvo nuts ...
Had my S40 d5 for 3 trouble free years on taxi ..she's done just off 170,000 miles ...now she drives sluggish with very little torque ..seems to rev OK but has lost the strength she had up hills or overtaking etc ..she used to fly ..now it's nothing like the excelaration she had .she's been well looked after (she has to be mint for taxi test)and regular services etc ..any help would be great as its wrong time of year to let Volvo at it ..remortgage lol ..thx in advance JON

Will probably have a stored faultcode read that out with the torque app and post the result for further direction

check the vacuum supply to the turbo control valve , should be up around 27 in/hg , also you could have a turbo air leak perhaps from the intercooler .
