Default XC90 Purchase

Thinking of buying a new XC90 - nearly new seem to command a premium price at the moment - and would like some advice on the current Sat Nav system. I know that it is now hard disc rather than DVD but is the system any good?

Alos, anyone advise on the sort of margin that a dealer has in the accesories that are fiited by him, such as the rear camera and detachable towbar?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hopefully, if you are planning to buy a new XC90 with RTI (About 8 weeks delivery) then the hard drive should have the latest software installed.

Anyone who travels on a regular basis to Europe will find the hard drive RTI system very good, as you do not have to keep changing DVD's. If I remember correctly, with the old system, I had to use all 3 DVD's to get from Scotland to Austria. Plus with the new system you can input your destination from your home to anywhere in Europe.

One bit of advice about Volvo's RTI system, go into the settings and de-select "Ferries" as this can confuse things.
Example:-
Thurso to Aberdeen (approximately 220 miles by road). If Ferries are selected, the RTI system tells you to go to Orkney by Ferry and then by Ferry from there to Aberdeen.

If you read previous posts relating to the RTI hard drive system you will see that not all is correct with the system. There are minor faults, mainly M roads being A roads, railway lines being on the wrong side of the road and being told to come off a through road, go around a round about and rejoin the through road again.
Volvo have acepted that this is not correct and the expected software upgrade should rectify this?

Sorry, I cannot give any information regarding dealers and accesories.
