Buying Volvo V50 estate...help please.
I'm buying a newer Volvo to take over from my ageing Volvo 240 estate and looking at one owner low mileage (just under 70,000) full Volvo service history V50 estate 2.0D SE Lux E4 Six speed on a 56 plate. Registered in Nov 2006. Claims to be the new facelift model. Looks immaculate in and out as a lady owner......
I'm new to this model so what should I be looking out for and a rough guide price to start negotiating at. Help please! What would be the road tax for this vehicle please? Last edited by VOLVO GHILLIE; Apr 12th, 2016 at 20:39. |

my V50 T5 was registered in November 2006 and whilst it is a 2007 model year car it is not the facelift that happened partway through 2007 there's not
much different apart from front and rear bumpers and front grill the face lift has a black egg crate grill the earlier cars had a waterfall grill to match V70 The grill from a pre 2007 s40 will give the same look as the facelift that's what I have done looks much better imho There are loads of posts about what to look for just keep searching the forum |

I don't think it is a facelift model being a 56 plate. The dpf's can cause mischief on the 2.0D and the ETM (Throttle body) can get really mucky inside too making starting difficult and lumpy when running. I think I paid £185 for my road tax earlier this year.
