Evening!
So my mechanic spent 3 days on this. Scratching his head and trying all sorts of different things. He even had another couple of mechanics come and look at it. In the end he primed the engine and got it going again although he was worried it might happen again. I drove from Doncaster to London last night no problems at all. I started the car earlier no problem and then tonight it's doing absolutely the same thing again and turning over but not starting. He thinks it's a pressure related issue. If anyone has any suggestions it'd be greatly appreciated. |

Im not sure if the fuel filter has been replaced. I can check with green flag when they come out. Thanks for your help. This is all going to be handy when I have someone looking at the car again later

They're left completely baffled once again. We did plenty of tapping on the pressure control valve on the main HP pump to no avail. There seems to be no diesel getting pumped to the engine. Yet when they primed it the other day it worked fine. I drove for 2 days and did about 200 miles. But the second it was left stood on my drive for about 6 hours it was dead again

Looks like it might be a dead fuel tank pump
