Default V70 AWD speed pulse signal

I am trying to find the speed pulse signal on my 2001 V70 AWD Estate so I can use it to drive a Brantz tripmeter. Can anyone tell me where I can find the signal please that is easily accessible; maybe the OBDC connector?
Many thanks

It's not that simple. Speed is derived from the ABS sensors so you'd need to get a CANBUS adapter to break it out to a dedicated signal. The data is in the ODB port but you'll still need to decode it.

Thanks for that but sadly my 2001 V70 AWD Estate doesn't have the speed pulse wire at the back of the radio or speedo.
I see on many wiring diagrams that a yellow/black wire should be there but it isn't. Maybe too early for such trimmings!

Any further suggestions as to how I might find or generate a speed pulse would be appreciated. I want to use it to drive a Brantz tripmeter.

Many thanks

Thanks Simon for the OBDC suggestion.

But my understanding is that to receive the CANBUS signals at the OBDC a signal is needed to be sent (to the CEM presumably) and regularly refreshed (~ every 5 seconds?) to enable the CANBUS output. And, as you rightly say, I'll still need a Volvo specific CANBUS interface to generate the speed pulse.

Maybe a sensor and magnets on one of the drive shafts is a simpler approach.

I would imagine a canbus adapter such as this should sort you out.
