belt or chain?
Intend to buy a April 2009 v50 2.0d and was wondering if
A. It has a cam belt or chain B. Dpf Check for parts on reg and both belt and chain kit listed. |

It's a belt. And as regards to DPF, all depends on the engine model. Some 2005/6 cars have DPF yet my facelift 2008 does not. Also some are dry DPFs so last the lifetime of the car and others are 'wet' DPFs that needs top up of additive periodically and also need completely replaced at 75k.

Generally if there's a grey plug on the left side of your battery then it has a DPF, if not then it doesn't. But the only way to know for sure will probably be to ring a dealer.
