Default rare car

The 760s recived the face lift in later hath of 1987 ,ie for the1988 modle
year .The dash and the heater/air con "ecc"(electronic climet control) were
standerd .
They are not rare, but there fewer about now as alot have been scraped
as repare costs exced value on a 18 year old car.
Sorry to disapoint, althoe they are a lot less comon than 740s.

Regards Roger

Default everything working

We were Saab-ers for years. Made a massive error of judgement and bought an Espace...I'll leave you to imagine the damage..found ourselves car-less at Christmas, wife was 7 months pregnant and the only thing I could find in a rush for a few quid was a 1989 760 turbo ( saloon ). Hated looking at it - total shock when I drove it - and.... everything worked!!![COLOR="Black"]
We really needed an estate and as we are now converted, we picked up an amazingly tidy and cheap 740 turbo with FSH last week. But my point is that its such a shame that reasonably good cars end up being scrapped. We advertised the 760 for £100 locally with Mot til Sept ( ABS light was lit ) and all we got was pondlife asking stupid questions. In the end I gave up and due to lack of time and space was forced to scrapped it.
On the rarity issue - we were pipped to the post by ten-minutes at a garage in Nottingham two weeks ago on a E plate facelifted 760 turbo estate - a genuine school headmasters' single owner - 56k on the clock, FSH ( naturally! ) - a fiver under £600!!! We were a tad upset!! Some lucky gent has a very reliable car for many years to come. I hope he treats it welll.

Great forum !
Cheers
Paul
