  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

I'll get hold of a bag of new clips and give it a go!
I think it probably makes sense to remove the headlamp wipe units and the grille to give better access?

I'm afraid on this one I AM the ordinary ham fisted mortal - I did end up removing bumper more tha once though. In this case the main thing is to check the height of the centre piece is ok - are the clips at the same height off the bumper? You may need to persuade the panel with a protected bolster chisel. it should clip in with a GENTLE tap. If you decide to replace some/all clips I found easiest way to remove was to drill the centre out and pull remains away with pliers. As long as the clips still spring they will be ok. Twists and distortion in the trim are harder to overcome. Trying to ease them back when off the car will almost certainly wreck the part. Use the clips to hold the trim and persuade it gently to position.

I expect you to post back saying the job has gone well and was esier than expected! (Hopefully!) Best of luck.
