Default Upgrade heated steering wheel, folding mirrors or boot close

Hello all, got an excellent D5 RDesign Geartronic as an upgrade today from our D4 Manual but Mrs P is not happy at losing some of the options that were on the old car! I could have spent weeks and about £3k to get a like for like D5 but reckon if I could spend say £1k adding some of the options that are missing I'll still be better off. So I've done some research but wondered if anyone has done any of the following:

[1] Heated Steering wheel - reckon there may be an upgrade kit of a bare wheel, wiring and controllers plus button for the console - checking tomorrow if it is the right kit and how much. Looks like it re-uses the airbag, switches on the wheel etc. Anyone done it? Part 31373979 or 31373745

[2] Folding mirrors - looks more straight forward - pair of new genuine folding mirrors £340 plus the fitting cost but there are also some controllers in the doors - not sure if the mirrors will come with the controllers or not - anyone know? Part number could be 31338971-31338984 but this may be for a 14-15 and not a MY16

[3] Finally the one which is probably a non starter but auto close boot like on a LUX or SE - is it a new boot or is it new struts, wiring and the button for the boot lid - anyone know?

I will ask Volvo all these questions but I know from past experience asking about non standard parts can get strange answers or a lack of enthusiasm - which is fair enough!

Cheers

Not worth the hassle and expense, imho.

Some can certainly be done but I think all would have to be set up in VIDA. Touching the air bag can be very tricky but it has been done on the forum.

Would cost less to find a car with the bits you want on it for sale at a higher price than it will cost you to fit the upgrades

Thanks all - I do intend to only fit the options that aren't getting me to the point where I would be better spending the £3k to find the exact match. Looks like there may not be people who've done it aftermarket. I've done lots of steering wheel upgrades on BMWs myself and I'm no more than a competent DIYer but having to have the car software updated means DIY looks less attractive on modern cars. I'm told there may be different wiring looms between XC60 models which I'm quite surprised about as on beemers the wiring is almost always there and its juts a case of getting the right connection and I wonder how cost effective it is to have 30 different looms on the production line...

I thought all XC60's came with folding mirrors as standard? Even our previous base model V40 had them.

I wouldn't bother with the self closing boot. I think the heated steering wheel won't cost that much though.

JIT means that only the loom needed is in the right place at the right time.

would have thought there's just the one loom, with, say, motorised mirrors at the right time on prod line, a heated wheels or standard etc.
Many features are then allowed/disallowed in software. My Leon had loads of functionality that just wanted enabling in VCDS. Is VIDA the same Volvo Vehicle Management then?

Well if you want a rear view camera you have to spec the wiring for it at the factory as it can't be added by the main dealer afterwards if you don't.

I have added the heated steering wheel http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/pr.../31373979.html but you also need the clock spring (wiring round the steering column), switch and VIDA. I tried manually wiring mine in, which worked but kept catching when turning the wheel.
