  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

The damaged wheel has actually lost some of the rim - not that which stops the tyre popping off - more like a decorative/protective bit - wheel works fine but there's no missing the very uneven perimeter against the black tyre.

I got a local refurb guy to have a look at it and whilst he said he could make a good job of rebuilding the rim and it would look quite good he did say that the filler would very likely break off should the tyre need changing - so ok if you were doing it up for selling - but long term I would be better off looking for a better condition wheel from a breakers yard. I have no plans to sell any time soon, so feel the replacement will serve me better long term.

I got one for £90 and it looks just as nice as the others - only some very minor scuff marks. Realise I was very lucky for this pattern to come up just when I needed it

AlanR full marks for going for a new wheel. I got all sorts of c**p on here for getting a cracked wheel welded by experts. My wheel is legal and will pass an mot but not this forum!!!
