The blue plastic ring binders with the green books in could be ordered from Volvo by owners as a "spare part". Years ago I can remember these being listed on the official Volvo web site. Almost certainly none available now. I bought one for my 1961 B16 122S back in 1966 and still have it, the book that is. The one shown, the cover anyway is a dealer one with a heavy duty metal frame and metal tips on the corners. I have one of those stuffed to the gills with green books covering from 120/1800/140. The dealer obviously just added more and more until it wouldn't take any more. It does have separators which list the various books for each section. It doesn't have any fancy coloured books in it though some illustrations are in red, yellow and black. Many green books have pages in the back that fold out to show a 3d view of what that book covers like engines, gearboxes and axles. Also a fully dimensioned drawing of the body and chassis. Later versions of these metal type binders were in dark green and carried on until at least the 240 series.
Go ahead and buy Andy, but I would still like to see some pictures of these coloured sections for reference.
