I dont think that is correct. You must provide an address where documents can be served. Does not need to be where you live.

Well I'm a director and I can assure you that you must provide a residential address. The only way it can be hidden is if you could potentially have threats etc because of the kind of business, like abortion clinics etc.

You think teething problems for a 70K car are unacceptable?! Boy oh boy...

Well I can tell you of serious faults on cars 2 or 3 times that list price, all of them in cars less than 12 months old with scant mileage on.

Porsche 991 Carrera S. Rain water leaking into the engine bay and into the rear of the passenger compartment. Took them weeks to solve.

Mclaren 570s, air conditioning failure, happened twice, dealer baffled with it, probably still waiting to happen again even now.

Aston Martin DB11, electric windows developing a mind of their own and door locks going off like a machine gun in cold weather. Not very James Bond trying to get into your own car on a cold winters morning outside a hotel at 7am with half the world wondering why you can't unlock it.

Porsche Boxster S, rainwater leaking into car through the roof.

Lotus Evora, driving home having collected the car from dealership, brand new, alloy wheel fell off!

Ferrari 308GTB, got precisely 12 miles from dealership when brakes failed!

Read through a few forums, this kind of stunt is not unheard of! And don't even mention the letters A.u.d.i or B.M.W because some of their dealers can be just as troublesome, believe me I have been told first hand. Apparently Lexus are one of the names who do actually go the extra mile to help their customers. IF you want to hear some real tales get on a Land Rover forum...

Personally I would not have opted for such a new T8 XC90 this early on in it's life. It is a hugely complex machine by anyone's standards.

Maybe it depends on whether you are talking about what it out in the public domain. If you searched my name you would not get my residential address, but rather the company/correspondence address.

However, my residential address is also registered (I think), so if someone was to dig deeper (maybe via a paid service?) then it might come up

I too am a director and I can assure you that companies house do not have my residential address. Just to check I did a quick Google and found this:

https://www.yourcompanyformations.co...rvice-address/

Read the first paragraph of point 2. For convenience I will paste it below:

There are no legal limits that forbid directors from using a residential address as a service address; conversely, several directors choose to preserve their privacy by keeping their home addresses off public record. This helps to block unwanted mail as well as unexpected guests from coming to your home.
