Default Strange noise

Now that we have had warmer weather I have been driving with the windows open I have heard a clunking like tin noise from the passenger side front wheel area. I hear going over speed humps and bumps in the road and when taking my foot off the clutch. Sometimes I can hear with every bump and other times it comes and goes.

I am going to book into my local volvo dealer warranty soon but wondered if any of you had idea what it could be.

Either anti-roll link bar or your lower control arm bushes have worn! Very Very common problem - see the sticky threads.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Have changed control arms and drop links on my v70,but i still have the same noise as described,so it'll be interesting to see if your dealer can diagnose the noise.

Piggy

The noise has been diagnosed as the drive shaft play and it needs to be rebonded to tighten it up.
