Hi, I own a 2003 C70 T5 Convertible with the mahogany interior trim. The gear knob is black leather but I would like to change it to the wood finish type so it all matches. Does anyone know if any C70's came with this option as I have only seen them on the automatic transmission and on the V70 ( are they interchangeable ) or will I have to buy a universal aftermarket part?

No idea if a V70 would fit.

I have the steering wheel, gear knob and dark wood panels in mine, the wood on the manual gear knob is slightly darker than the rest of the wood finish.
The V70 one will fit, no problems. |

I'm sure I read somewhere that the C70 manual knob unscrews but that the auto knob is a push fit which requires considerable upward force to remove it.
Do you need to lift the gear knob to get a manual C70 into reverse?

On a 99 c70, you have two clips that you push in on the side of the gear knob, at the very bottom part of it, then it releases and can be lifted straight off, no force required.
The gear change is just like the s and v, no lifting to get to reverse. |
